What's in a name?
Papillon, pronounced PAP-ee-ahn, is the French word for butterfly. The life stages of a butterfly seem to symbolize my journey as a photographer. I was the caterpillar in her cocoon for many years, on some level knowing what I wanted to become, but it wasn't always obvious to me. Looking back, I see that being a photographer is what I was always meant to do. Now I am finally realizing my dream.
